Delete your SharmBeat account

You can request permanent deletion of your SharmBeat account and associated personal data at any time. This page explains how. It is intended for Google Play / App Store account-deletion requirements and for any user who needs a clear web link outside the app.
1. Delete in the app (recommended)
- Open the SharmBeat app on your device.
- Go to Profile.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
When you confirm, your account and associated personal data managed by the app are permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone.
2. Delete by email
If you cannot access the app, email us from the address linked to your account:
Subject: Delete my account
Body: Please delete my SharmBeat account and associated data.
Include the email address you used to register.
We process verified requests as soon as reasonably possible, and in any case within 30 days, as required by applicable law (including the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law where applicable).
3. What is deleted
Depending on your account, deletion may include:
- Profile information (name, email, preferences, language)
- Bookings associated with your user account
- Reviews you submitted
- Chat messages associated with your account
- Push notification tokens and related device records we store for you
Public business listings (service descriptions managed by owners or admins) are handled separately from your personal profile; ownership of a listing may be unlinked rather than erasing the public place entry itself.
4. What may be retained briefly
Some information may be retained for a limited period if required by law, fraud prevention, security, tax/accounting, or dispute handling. After that period it is deleted or anonymised. Chat retention windows and booking record rules are described in our Privacy Policy.
